I received my Healthy Foot Practitioner training through the Restorative Exercise Institute. The training involves a thorough education of foot mechanics, how foot function affects whole-body health, and the role of footwear on foot health and foot pain.

The Restorative Exercise Institute is a science-based education facility dedicated to optimizing long-term health of the human machine through proper understanding of how habits of posture and alignment affect organ and system function.

After an amazing couple months of glorious weather at the beach, swimming, hiking, biking, camping, paddling and generally enjoying ourselves, the slight chill has crept back into the air, my daughters are back at school and I’m am excited to throw myself back into the swing of my business again.
I’m available for reflexology sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the day and Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

I love what I do and would love to be able to keep growing my business by word of mouth. If you know of someone who you think would benefit from a relaxing reflexology session but is a little unsure about it, please feel free to let them know that I offer complimentary 1/2 hour trial sessions to new clients on referral so that they can see if it the right therapy for them.

Wow! I am completely overwhelmed by the support I have received for my annual May Fundraiser for the Spectrum Support Group for mothers on the North Shore. Thanks to a super busy ‘feet treating’ schedule and some incredibly generous donations, I surpassed my goal of $1,800 and was able to raise $2,145 for Spectrum. I strongly believe in the work that Sally Livingstone and her team of caregivers do to support mothers and am thrilled to be able to help them continue to do so. It’s that time of year again – glorious Spring – and the start of my May Fundraiser. In honour of Mother’s Day on May 12th, 2013 and to celebrate mothers everywhere, I am raising funds for charity by donating half my fees for the entire month of May.

This year’s charity is the North Vancouver non-profit organization, Spectrum. Spectrum supports teen and at risk mothers by paying for caregivers and mentors who assist these families during very difficult times.

Last year I raised $1,560 for this worthwhile cause and this year my goal is even bigger. With the support of you, my amazing clients, I’ve set the bar at $1,800. During the month of May 50% of the cost of every reflexology session booked and every gift certificate purchased will be donated to Spectrum. It’s a big goal but I am confident with your support I know it is one that can be achieved.

Mothering can be rewarding and yet extremely challenging at the same time. Sally Livingstone, founder of Spectrum, and her organization provide a lifeline for young mums who are challenged with leading a balanced and healthy lifestyle while raising their children without financial and family support. Once again I will be dedicating my work in November to raise funds and awareness for the kids of the Atin Afrika Foundation. Half of every reflexology session booked will go directly to these kids. By booking a reflexology session you will be helping buy food, clothes, school uniforms and help with the household costs of the Atin Afrika home. It’s a win-win!
